Hello, I'm back!  My wife's younger sister had a brain anuerism, and when they called us, she only had days to live.  She flew to Bangor Maine, so she could spend some time with her, and I drove out.

   I got to see her the day I got there, but she died the next day. We stayed for the funeral,  then drove to Findlay Ohio, and spent a couple days with our daughter and her husband, then drove to Peoria Ill. to spend a few days with our son Robert.  We had a great time in spite of the loss of Julie. Getting to see the kids made everything really worthwhile!

My wife's brother is staying with us a few days...he is such a DORK. If he had two coices and one was really good for him, the other absolute nothing...he'd choose the nothing. Last year he bought a Pan Flute and perhaps it was too hard to learn by himself, so I bought him a book, I asked how he was doing on it...though I knew the answer.. He said it was a lot harder than it looked! I really gritted my teeth to keep from laughing. I guess if you can't learn it in a couple days, it's just too complex.

My wife told me about his accidently using toothpaste on his hair..guess it pays to look at the label! I Wonder if he brushed his teeth with hair oil? He's such a wuss! When he had quit smoking, he took to chewing toothpicks, and would spit or drop them anywhere, he finally got a little payback when he rammed one in his foot, I guess they don't slide on shag carpet too well...at least he gave up using toothpics, so he can learn from experience. Sorry folks, I'm just ranting, knowing I'm going to have to endure him a couple days.

Was about to throw out an old Smithsonian magazine, and wondered why I had kept it.

Wonderful pics of old cars, making railroad tie's, and life in general back in the 1920's and 30's

Many many pictures! and we had a very enjoyable evening together, which beats the tar our of

sitting in silence in front of a TV...Enjoy!

Can you Believe it??

The Meals on Wheels Program, is now throwing out food, rather than letting the hungry people have seconds!!!

We were always able to have seconds, if there was food left over, now it must be thrown away!!! This is the

absolute heigth of stupidity!!! Unbelievable!!! couldn't even have a second helping of Jello, because the half

tray full must be thrown out!! Where did wisdom go??? Whatever happened to understanding???

Had a strange one this morning..a man brought in an expensive over $100.00 pair of shoes, for new heels. When I popped off the rubber cap..it was a plastic honeycomb underneath, leaving nothing to nail to. I had to call him and tell him we could not fix them...he was really upset, for what he paid for them, that they are not repairable. He asked if we would repair them, if he went for a full sole and heel, again I had to tell him we can't do it, but he's welcome to try other shops in the hopes one of them will, though I seriously doubt he will find any takers. I eally don't understand this, as it is a very reputable company he bought them from...maybe they got taken too.

It looks like our President is going through with the North American Union,

now called by the sweeter name, SPP- Security Prosperity Partnership,

Security will be non existant, as any one, at any time, can cross the borders

without so much as a passport. There will be no Congressional or any other

oversight though we will have a new currency..This good for everyone else but

Americans. The game plan is to sign it into law just before he leaves office,

just like Clinton did a bunch of things before just leaving office, that would take

over 20 years to undo, if anyone was prone or willing to undo them.

Congress has clearly said no to this, but they have little if any voice in these

things.
